On April 4, 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of PRC approved and issued 21 national standards including the Photometric Characteristics of Daytime Running Lamps for Motor Vehicles. Among them, there are 4 standards related to the lighting industry.
GB 5920 specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for the light distribution performance of the front and rear position lamps, end-outline maker lamps and stop lamps for motor vehicles and their trailers.
GB 23255 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for the light distribution performance of the daytime running lamps of power drive vehicles. It is applicable to all types of daytime running lamps used in L, M and N vehicles.
GB 30255 specifies the energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, and test methods of LED downlight for indoor lighting, directional integrated LED lamps, and non-directional self-ballasted LED lamps.
GB 37478 specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, energy efficiency grades, and test methods for LED luminaries for road and tunnel lighting. It is applicable to LED lamps for road and tunnel lighting with rated voltage of AC 220 V and frequency of 50 Hz (including LED light sources and their control devices but excluding individually connectable interconnect controls or other lighting-independent feature accessories).
