Dr. Mao Xin, the company’s early angel investor, a senior technology consultant, and a Chinese veteran in the semiconductor sector, visited HC Semitek on Sept. 25, 2009 at the invitation of the company. Mr. Zhou Fuyun, chairman of the company; President Dr. Liu Rong, Vice President Mr. Ye Aimin, Dr. Bao Jianren, and others held reception for Dr. Mao, reported the company’s achievements in recent years and future development plans, and listened to Dr. Mao’s suggestions for the development of HC Semitek and incisive analysis of the development trend of the LED sector.
The company’s founding team thanked and saluted Dr. Mao for his generous investment in HC Semitek project and wished Dr. Mao a long, healthy life. Dr. Mao expressed himself satisfied with the development of the company and recalled his participation in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the project in early 2006. Accompanied the company leaders, Dr. Mao visited the company’s production lines.
Dr. Mao Xin, born in Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province, graduated from a Taiwan university. He obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1962. He joined Texas Instruments (TI) and founded the overseas factory (Singapore factory) and Taiwan factory, the earliest ones for TI. He successively served as the Vice President of American UTL, Chairman of the American company of Taiwan Lite-on, etc. After his retirement, he continues to follow the development of the semiconductor industry by the Chinese, give support to young talents, and has invested in many outstanding projects with leading technology and products, contributing to the development of high-tech industries across the Taiwan Strait.
